Overview

Oceanica is a merge-style mobile game. You can play without creating an account or providing your name, email address, or phone number. Most gameplay information stays on your device. Oceanica uses third-party services for advertising and Apple services for in-app purchases.

Information Stored on Your Device

Oceanica stores game progress and preferences locally using Apple-provided storage. This may include:

  • Best score, gameplay statistics, and discovered creatures.
  • Tutorial completion and collection progress.
  • Music, sound effect, and haptic preferences.
  • Power-tool usage and related gameplay state.
  • A local record indicating whether Remove Ads is active.

This information supports the game experience and is not uploaded to an Oceanica account or developer-operated server. Deleting the app may remove locally stored progress.

Advertising

Oceanica uses Google Mobile Ads to display banner, interstitial, and optional rewarded advertisements. Depending on your device, region, privacy choices, and Google settings, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may process information such as:

  • IP address and general location inferred from it.
  • Device or advertising identifiers where permitted.
  • Advertising data and interactions with advertisements.
  • App interactions, diagnostic information, crash logs, and performance data.

Google processes this information under its own policies for purposes that may include providing ads, measuring performance, analytics, fraud prevention, and ad personalization where allowed. Learn more from Google's partner-services explanation and Google Privacy Policy.

Remove Ads and Rewarded Ads

The Remove Ads purchase disables automatic banner and interstitial advertisements. Optional rewarded ads may remain available when you choose to watch one in exchange for an in-game benefit. If no ad is requested or shown, no reward is granted.

In-App Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. Oceanica receives purchase status and product entitlement information needed to unlock Remove Ads, but it does not receive or store your complete payment-card details. Apple's handling of purchase information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Support Communications

If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, device model, iOS version, screenshots, and issue description. This information is used only to respond, investigate the problem, maintain reasonable support records, and protect the service from misuse.

Children's Privacy

Oceanica does not knowingly ask children to provide personal information directly. Advertising services may process information as described above. Parents or guardians who believe a child has submitted personal information through a support request may contact us to request its deletion.

Your Choices

  • You can disable music, sound effects, and haptics in Settings.
  • You can purchase Remove Ads to disable automatic advertisements.
  • You can decline optional rewarded advertisements.
  • You can manage applicable advertising and privacy choices through your device and Google settings.
  • You can delete Oceanica to remove locally stored game data from that device.

Data Security and Retention

Reasonable safeguards are used for information received through support. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Local game data remains on your device until it is cleared by the operating system or the app is deleted. Third-party providers determine retention for information they process under their own policies.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when Oceanica's features, service providers, or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page with a revised update date.
